Two Schools in Contrast – Sogetsu and Enshu – February 18, 2022

Rayko Kurasaki (Enshu) considers San Francisco her home town since arriving from Japan back when she was in third grade. She began taking lessons in the Enshu School of ikebana more than 50 years ago with Obata Sensei and later studied with her successor, Sakaki Sensei. In turn she succeeded Sakaki Sensei and was teaching in El Cerrito for several years up until the pandemic. She has created arrangements for our I.I. meetings and has participated in the biennial Ikebana International shows and at the Ikebana Teachers Federation exhibit during the Japan Town Cherry Blossom Festival.  Two Schools in Contrast – Sogetsu and Enshu – February 18, 2022
